The victorians used to picnic in the cemeteries. Very much so in the magnificent 7 cemeteries of London. Egyptian Avenue in Highgate cemetery is home of mystery and fame with various features in epic horrors to word of mouth folktales. The area is scattered with stone sculptures of pineapples. The pineapple in a gravesite most commonly will represent eternal life. The pineapple was also one of the most expensive symbols of wealth in Europe during the 18th century.
